We walked across England (and it ruined travel for us) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Hey Reader,

A few weeks ago we walked 70 miles across England with Mac's Adventure, from the Cotswolds to the Cornwall Coast (here's the exact tour), and we're finally starting to share the full story. If you want to follow along day by day, now's the time.

Before the walking started, we spent a few days exploring Oxford (Joey was in absolute heaven with all the Tolkien and Lewis lore).

We climbed the church tower for views over the city, took a tour through the Christ Church campus, and capped off the trip when we found a Dishoom Permit Room, our favorite restaurant in the world, tucked right there in town.

If you're planning your own trip and want a head start, we wrote up exactly how we'd spend 24 hours there:

Then it was time to start walking. Here's a peek at what's coming in the series:

Day 1, Moreton-in-Marsh: We started with a train into the gateway to the Cotswolds, grabbed coffee and breakfast, then set out on a 6 mile loop the Macs app said would take under 2 hours. It took us almost 3.5. We stayed at a 17th century coaching inn covered in Lord of the Rings art, which made Joey's whole trip.

Day 2, Stow-on-the-Wold: An 11km walk along part of the Monarch's Way, the route King Charles II used to escape after the Battle of Worcester. We stopped for every cow and sheep, played on a playground, and ended the day with pints, gelato, and an apple crumble we are still thinking about.

Day 3, Bourton-on-the-Water: Known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, and this might be our favorite day of the whole trip. We passed through Lower Slaughter, stopped at a brewery owned by Jeremy Clarkson, and fully embraced our nerdy sides at the model village.

Day 4, Bath: A transfer day into this UNESCO listed city. Thermal spa soaks, the Roman Baths, the Jane Austen Centre, and a hotel room with a soaking tub we did not want to leave.

Day 5, Bath Abbey & the Skyline Trail: We got to ring the bells in a 500 year old bell tower (a lifelong dream for Joey) and hiked the Bath Skyline Trail, detouring to see one of only four Palladian bridges in the world.

We've got a busy few days ahead getting the rest of this trip posted: 5 more daily vlogs, some supporting content, and a capstone video pulling the whole thing together on YouTube.

All before our next trip (remember that backpacking trip to Isle Royale with our friends Adam + Kathryn and Jen and Elliot? It's less than a week away... we are quite excited but very nervous). Wish us luck!

We've got a stack of England guides in the works covering everything from this trip and beyond, and this is the first one out the door.

More soon, including the Cornwall Coast leg, which caught us completely off guard with how stunning it was (seriously, who knew England has some of the most gorgeous coasts we've ever seen). It's already got us wanting to do the full South West Coast Path in the future.

Talk soon,
Joey and Katie

Hey Reader, We're home! Officially back in the states after 6 weeks traversing Italy and England. While we are so happy to be with family, back in our own bed, and snuggling with the animals again... we are missing the adventure we just had. Here's a quick look at our trip: 🇮🇹 ITALY: ROME, UMBRIA + TUSCANY Italy was everything we hoped it would be and then some. We started in Rome — the chaos, the history, the pasta, the fried artichokes, the Aperol spritzes 🤤🤤🤤. Then we made our way through...

Hi Reader!Last Monday, we had absolutely no plans to go to Europe. Then a job opportunity came in, and just like that we're biking 140 miles through Umbria's wine region in April and walking a 10-day self-guided route through the Cotswolds in England right after. Being in the travel creator space is a little weird sometimes. Definitely no 9-5 planning happening over here. And then we looked at the calendar a little closer. The week we get back from Europe, our National Park road trip starts....

Hey Reader, We've had a busy week — travel planning (mapping out our National Park road trip is no joke), a few great phone calls, filming some upcoming brand projects, some pickleball, and somehow experiencing snow, 75° temps, and 60mph winds all in the same week. That being said, there are two things that dropped this week we wanted to make sure you knew about. First up... National Park Playoffs! We're kicking off the National Park Playoffs. It's a bracket-style tournament where all 63 U.S....
