We’ve Traded National Parks for Natas 🇵🇹

Hey Reader,

We’ve officially left the U.S. for a few weeks of exploring Portugal—returning to a place we already adore, but this time diving even deeper.

We’ve been to Lisbon before and it completely won us over—the food, the people, the energy, the views—everything just hits in the best way. Coming back feels both familiar and exciting, and we’re so glad to be diving deeper this time around.

Katie and her mom (and some of her friends) just boarded a Viking River Cruise that will take them through some of the most beautiful parts of the country.

As for me, I’m DIY-ing my own version of the trip—starting in Porto and planning day trips to Braga, Viana do Castelo, Guimarães, Aveiro, Costa Nova, and maybe even a quick hop up to Vigo, Spain.

We’ll be updating our Instagram daily with new photos, stories, and recs. I just shared the first Porto photo dump if you want to see what I’ve been up to.

What We Brought Along

We’re also building something BIG: a custom Google Map with 200+ hand-picked spots across Portugal—restaurants, coffee shops, churches, viewpoints, and more. It’s not quite ready yet, but when it is, would you want a copy?

We’ll be here for a few more weeks, and toward the end of the trip, we’ll be meeting up with some special guests in Lisbon—and we can’t wait.

We can’t wait to share more of this fantastic country as we explore new places, try even more great food, and soak up everything Portugal has to offer.

Until next time,
- Joey and Katie

Joey walking in the Alfama neighborhood of Lisbon, Portugal Hey Reader,We’re spending three weeks in Portugal right now—not on a press trip, not on a freebie deal—but thanks to a few collaborations we locked in before we left, almost all of our costs are covered.Flights, lodging, meals, experiences… it’s wild to say, but the money we’re making from a handful of brand deals will pretty much pay for the whole trip. It didn’t happen overnight. Before we left, we sent out about 50 brand pitches....

Interested in our Creator journey? This email is for you. Last fall, we joined Giselle + Stephen (aka @TheLoversPassport)’s Instagram Reels Challenge—and in just 30 days, we grew our Instagram by over 4,500 followers. But honestly? The real transformation wasn’t just in the numbers. We built habits. We got consistent. We found our voice. And we proved to ourselves that we could show up—even when it felt uncomfortable. Now they’re back with another challenge and we’re jumping in again. It’s...
